How to earn points
The ways you earn points at the counter and how they land in your wallet.
Three ways to earn at the counter
All three methods award points instantly. You do not need to carry a card or open the app at the moment of purchase - though having the app handy makes it easy to check your new balance right away.
Give your phone number to the cashier when you check out.
Scan a QR code displayed at the register or on a receipt.
Tap your phone using contactless NFC if the business has it enabled.
How much you earn
Each business sets its own earn rate - the number of points you receive per dollar spent. Some shops might award 5 points per dollar, others 10 or more. The rate is usually posted near the register or shown in the app when you view that business's profile.
Points are worth $0.01 CAD each, so 100 points equal $1.00 in value. The exact rate you earn depends on the merchant, but the value of the points themselves is fixed across the entire network.
Points land instantly
As soon as the cashier processes your purchase and awards points, they appear in your wallet. There is no delay or waiting period. Open the app or website to see your updated balance and a record of the transaction.
Earn from campaigns and bonuses
Beyond regular purchase points, businesses can run campaigns that give you bonus points for specific actions - like visiting during a slow hour, spending above a threshold, or referring a friend. You might also earn birthday bonus points if you have added your birthday to your profile. All bonus points follow the same instant-credit rule.
