Not another single-store app
Loyalty software is not a hard problem for a large chain. They have the customer volume to make a closed program work, the engineering budget to integrate it, and the marketing reach to get customers to install another app.
An independent cafe has none of those things. It has a punch card, and a punch card captures nothing — no way to know who the regulars are, no way to reach someone who stopped coming in, no way to tell whether the free tenth coffee ever paid for itself.
A single-brand loyalty app fixes the data problem but not the reach problem: it only ever rewards customers the business already has. We built Sopoints as a coalition so points earned anywhere in the network can be spent anywhere in it — turning a loyalty program from a retention tool into an acquisition channel.
Simple for shops, powerful underneath
Set a points-per-dollar rate and a reward catalogue, then identify customers at checkout by phone, QR scan, NFC tap or a POS integration. Everything else runs on a double-entry ledger, so balances are always auditable and never invented.
A real, fixed-value point
Points are denominated in Loyalty Wallet Points, where 1 LWP equals $0.01 CAD. A point earned at a bakery is worth exactly the same at a barber shop.
One coalition balance
A pooled settlement system lets merchants settle between each other predictably, so a single balance spends anywhere in the network.

Phone number, QR scan, NFC tap, or a native Square or Lightspeed POS integration — points post in real time with no double entry.

Customer data is encrypted, access is scoped by role, and consent is captured explicitly. A merchant only ever sees customers who transacted with them.
