Questions

For customers

How much is a point worth?
1,000 points is worth $10.00 CAD, and the value is fixed: every point is $0.01, so 100 points is $1.00. The default earn rate is 1 point per $1 spent, and each shop sets its own rate, so some give more.
Can I use my points at any shop?
Points you earn at a shop go towards that shop's rewards. The same card works at every participating shop, and the app shows your points and rewards for each one.
Does it cost anything?
No. The app and your account are free.
How does the card work?
Your card has a QR code the shop scans at checkout, and you can add it to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet. Your points show up in the app right away.
What is tap to earn?
Some shops keep a SoPoints NFC tag at the counter. Hold your phone near it while you are signed in and your points are added. No scanning needed.
How do tiers work?
Your tier is based on the points you have earned over time: Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum. Some shops give higher tiers extra points on every purchase.
Do I get something on my birthday?
Add your birthday to your profile. Shops that run birthday offers can send you a treat on the day, like bonus points or a voucher.
Can I earn by referring friends?
Yes. Share your code from the app. When your friend makes their first purchase, you both get bonus points.
Do points expire?
It depends on the shop, and it always follows provincial rules. If any of your points are due to expire, we remind you 30 days before.
